         The Forum Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra was founded with the Young Composers´ Forum in mind, a festival held for the first time in Cracow in 1993. The commitment of the ensemble members resulted in the continuation of the initiated activity. Forum Sinfonia acts under the auspices of the Academy of Music in Cracow and, at the same time, cooperates with other musical institutions of the city as the PWN Editionand the publishing house "VIVO".
Piotr Su³kowski is the founder and the conductor of the orchestra. The young ensemble met with approbation in the aristic circles of Cracow and is often invited to take part in Polish and international festivals such as The Organ Music Days or the Canadian Music Festival, or the Silesian Day of Contemporary Music.
In 1994 during the second Young Composers´ Forum the Chapter of Critics awarded Prize for the Best Performance to the Forum Sinfonia. In the same year, on the request of the organisers of PWM Edition Composer Competition it performed a work by Rajmund Pietrzak, which was awarded a prize and brodcast by Polish radio.

The orchestra has also a CD record in its output containing music to a musical recorded by a German firm "Deorecording" and CD with Four Seasions A. Vivaldi and Serenada P. Czajkowski.
The Forum Sinfonia has in its repertory works ranging from Baroque to the newest compositions such as e. g. those by W.Widlak, M. Chyrzynski, M..Menqjiqi, P.Lukaszewski, M. Zielinski, A. Dziadek including many first performances.
