The Forum Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra was founded with the Young Composers´ Forum in mind,
a festival held for the first time in Cracow in 1993. The commitment of the ensemble
members resulted in the continuation of the initiated activity. Forum Sinfonia acts under
the auspices of the Academy of Music in Cracow and, at the same time, cooperates
with other musical institutions of the city as the PWN Editionand the publishing house "VIVO".
Piotr Su³kowski is the founder and the conductor of the orchestra. The young
ensemble met with approbation in the aristic circles of Cracow and is often invited to take
part in Polish and international festivals such as The Organ Music Days or the
Canadian Music Festival, or the Silesian Day of Contemporary Music.
In 1994 during the second Young Composers´ Forum the Chapter of Critics awarded Prize for
the Best Performance to the Forum Sinfonia. In the same year, on the request of the organisers
of PWM Edition Composer Competition it performed a work by Rajmund Pietrzak,
